(1.) Union minister of finance and Corporate Affairs Arun Jaitley launched Financial Inclusion Index in New Delhi. It was launched after his Annual Performance Review Meeting with CEOs of Public Sector Banks (PSBs).

Financial Inclusion Index (FII)

The annual FII will be released by Department of Financial Services (DFS), Ministry of Finance. It will be measure of access and usage of basket of formal financial products and services that includes savings, remittances, credit, insurance, and pension product.

(2.) Ayushman Bharat - Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojna

Ayushman Bharat (Jan Arogya Abhiyan) launched on 25th September 2018

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the world’s largest government-funded healthcare programme, Ayushman Bharat,on September 25, on the birth anniversary of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay. Under the programme, an insurance cover of Rs. 5 lakh will extend to 50 crore people – “the size of the population of America, Canada, Mexico or the entire population of Europe”, he added.
